Murrumbeena VIC — Terms of use & enquiry terms

The terms that sit behind this website and any quotation we issue.

This website is published by Kitchen Renovation Murrumbeena. Its service pages, kitchen guides and reference photography are written to help homeowners understand how a kitchen is planned, drawn, built and handed over. They are general information — the start of a conversation — not a design, a supply agreement or a building contract. The clauses below set out what you can rely on here, what a written quotation actually is, and how the material you send with an enquiry is treated.

What these terms cover

Seven short clauses, in the order they tend to matter: what the site is, what a quotation is, what happens to what you send us, and the ordinary limits that apply to both.

01  ClauseGuidance

Website content is general information

Everything published here — the service pages, the kitchen guides and the twelve-stage process — is written as general guidance for planning a kitchen renovation. It is not advice for a particular property, and it cannot account for the condition of your walls, floors, plumbing, wiring or structure.

Nothing on this website forms an offer, a design, a specification or an agreement. Where a page describes a material, a stage or an option, that description is indicative; the document that governs your kitchen is the written scope prepared for it. Photography across the site is reference imagery, chosen to illustrate a style, a finish or a detail under discussion.
02  ClauseWritten

Quotations and scope of works

An enquiry is not a booking, and a figure mentioned in conversation is not a quotation. Where a quotation is provided it is issued in writing following a site measure, and it is priced against a defined scope: the cabinetry, benchtop material, splashback, tiling and trades named in that document.

Selections move the price. So can conditions found once demolition begins — old waterproofing, out-of-square walls, services in unexpected positions. Any change to the scope after a quotation is issued is confirmed in writing before that work proceeds. A quotation applies only to the scope and selections it names, and does not extend to items added later or to work carried out by others. You can start that process through Request a Quote.
03  ClauseEnquiry

Information and images you send us

When you make an enquiry you describe the kitchen in your message — the layout, rough dimensions, what is staying and what is coming out. There is no file upload on this site: if plans or photographs of the existing room would help, we ask for them in our reply and you send them by email. By sending that material you confirm you are entitled to share it and that doing so does not breach anyone else’s rights.
We use what you send — in the enquiry message and in any images emailed afterwards — to understand the room, hold a useful design conversation and, where appropriate, price a scope of works. Photographs of a client’s home are not published — before or after — without that client’s permission, and the Projects section is built only from work and images supplied for that purpose. How enquiry information is stored and handled is set out in the Privacy Policy; please send only what you are comfortable sharing, and nothing confidential to a third party.

04  ClauseContent

Intellectual property

The written text, page structure, guide content, name, logo and original graphic elements of this website belong to Kitchen Renovation Murrumbeena. You are welcome to read a page, print it for your own renovation planning, or quote a short passage with a link back to the source. Republishing pages, copying guide content into another website, or using the name or logo in a way that suggests association, approval or endorsement is not permitted.
05  ClauseExternal

Third-party links and material

Some pages link outward to manufacturers, suppliers or reference material so a specification can be read at its source. Those sites are not under our control. Their content, accuracy, availability and terms are their own, and a link is not an endorsement of a product, a supplier or a claim made there. Check any material performance, care or warranty statement directly with the manufacturer before you rely on it.
06  ClauseLimits

Limitation of liability

This website is provided as it stands. Care is taken to keep it accurate and available, but it is not warranted to be free of error, nor to be uninterrupted. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising from a decision made on the basis of general website content rather than a written scope prepared for a particular kitchen. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
07  ClauseUpdates

Changes to these terms

Services, guide content and the way this website works develop over time, and these terms may be updated to reflect that. The version published on this page is the version that applies to your use of the site, and continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the terms as they then read. Our work is carried out in Victoria, Australia, and these terms are read accordingly.
If a clause here is unclear, or you would like something confirmed before a design conversation begins, ask through the contact form. If you are ready to start on the kitchen itself, use the quote form at Request a Quote, as clause 02 describes — both reach the same people.
Murrumbeena VIC — Questions on these terms

Ask before anything is committed to a scope.

A kitchen is easier to agree when both sides have read the same document. Send a question about any clause above, or about what a written scope of works would include for your room.
