What this website collects, and what happens to it afterwards.

Kitchen Renovation Murrumbeena is a kitchen renovation business, not a data business. Almost everything this website knows about you is something you typed into the enquiry form yourself, and the reason it exists is so somebody can read it and answer you about your kitchen. This page sets out, in plain English, what is collected, where it sits, who can see it, how long it is kept and how to have it removed.
If anything here is unclear, or you want a copy of what is held about you, write to us through the contact form and say so in your message.

Murrumbeena VIC — In plain terms
One form, one inbox, one purpose. You describe the kitchen in your own words, somebody here reads it, and you get a written answer back. Nothing on this page is collected for any other reason, and nothing is gathered about you that you did not choose to type.

01 — What you give us

Information you type in yourself
The only personal information this website asks for is what you put into the enquiry form. Three entries are needed before it will send: your name, an email address for the reply, and a message describing the kitchen. Five more are optional, and are there only because they usually shorten the path to an accurate answer — phone, location, subject, budget and timeframe.
There is no upload field on the form, so no photographs or files are submitted through this site and none are stored. Describe the room, the layout and the finishes in the message instead; if photographs would help us price it, we will ask for them when we reply. Please leave out anything you would not want held in an email inbox — financial details, identity documents or similar are never needed to price a kitchen.
If you write to us directly by email or phone about a quote, that correspondence is treated exactly the same way as a form enquiry under this policy.

02 — What the site records

Like any website, this one runs on a web server, and a web server keeps ordinary technical logs: the address a request came from, the page requested, the time, and the browser used. Those logs exist so the site can be kept online and secure. They are not built into profiles, not matched against enquiries, and not used for advertising.
Nothing on this site tracks you across other websites, and there are no pop-ups, chat trackers or retargeting scripts asking for your attention while you read.

03 — How it is used

Enquiry information is used to answer you: to understand the kitchen you are describing, to arrange a measure if you want one, and to prepare a written scope of works and quote. It may be referred to again while a job is being designed and built, because the brief you wrote at the beginning is part of the record of what was agreed.
It is not sold, rented, or handed to anyone for marketing. It is not added to a mailing list. Where a supplier or trade needs a detail to price part of the work — a stone fabricator needing a benchtop dimension, for instance — only that detail is passed on, not your enquiry.

04 — Where it is stored

Enquiries submitted through this website are saved privately inside the site’s own WordPress installation, on the hosting that runs kitchenrenovationmurrumbeena.com.au, and are read by the people who run the business. There is no third-party marketing platform behind the form, no automatic export to an advertising service, and no payment processing anywhere on this site.
Unavoidably, the services that host the website and carry our email handle the information in transit — that is how any message reaches its destination. They handle it to deliver and store the message, not to use it. Access to the site’s administration is restricted to the people who need it, and reasonable technical measures are kept in place to protect it. No system connected to the internet can be described as absolutely secure, and this one is not an exception.

05 — Cookies and measurement

This site uses cookies sparingly, and only the functional kind — the small files a browser needs so that pages load correctly and a submitted form is not sent twice. Where visit measurement is used, it reports at the level of pages and referring sources, telling us which guides are read, not who read them.
Every browser lets you block or delete cookies in its settings. Doing so will not stop you reading anything here, though it may mean a form has to be filled in from scratch if you navigate away mid-way.

06 — How long it is kept, and 07 — how to have it removed

An enquiry is kept for as long as it is useful for the conversation it started. If a quote is prepared and the work goes ahead, the enquiry stays part of the project record, because a scope of works only makes sense alongside the brief it was written against, and because business records of completed work are kept for the periods Australian record-keeping obligations require. If nothing comes of an enquiry, there is no reason to hold it indefinitely, and it is cleared out in the ordinary course.
You can ask at any time what information is held about you, ask for something inaccurate to be corrected, or ask for your enquiry to be deleted. Send the request through the contact form using the same name and contact details you originally wrote with, so the request can be matched to the right enquiry. If anything is held back because it forms part of the record of work actually carried out, you will be told what and why.
This policy may be updated as the site changes; the version published here is the one that applies. The commercial side of quoting and building — what a written quote covers, how variations are handled — sits in the Terms & Conditions, and the twelve stages a kitchen actually runs through are set out in the 12-step renovation process.
